The History of Gt Golf Learning Center

Gregg's passion for the game of golf began at an early age and lead him to a career as a Class A PGA professional.

He has been a active member of the Illinois PGA for over 33 years. Mr. Tengerstrom joined only a handful of local golf professionals when he won the prestigious Illinois PGA Junior Golf Leader Award in 2003 for his commitment to youth golf instruction and in growing the game of golf.  

His professional career started at the Oak Brook Golf Club in the early 1980's and gave Gregg the opportunity to experience firsthand, a behind-the-scenes peek at running a PGA Tour event. And, a close up look at Tour Players swings and the equipment they use.  

His career continued at Ridgemoor Country Club in 1982 were he enhanced his knowledge of the game and the golf profession thru numerous PGA seminars on proper golf instruction, rules and club fitting and repair.
 

The last 31 years have been spent at Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park as their Head PGA Professional. While at Silver Lake Gregg provided valuable instruction to 1000's of golfers from beginners to highly skilled golfers looking to fine tune their game. During Gregg's first year at Silver Lake he qualified for the 2nd stage of National Long Drive Championship. Gregg continues to enhance his teaching skills through PGA seminars, attended many local and national PGA seminars to offer unparalleled instruction in the latest trends in golf and golf equipment.

​In November 2016 Gregg began instructing students year round at T-Time Range and Golf Learning Center in Homer Glen.

​April 2018 Gregg moved GT Golf Learning Center to Odyssey Golf Foundation Driving Range in Tinley Park. At the new location Gregg and his staff will continue to give quality golf instruction to private , semi - private and group lessons year round.
